Compliance Program

A written set of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, ethical and regulatory obligations and guidelines. An Investment Adviser, registered under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, for example, is required to implement and maintain a Compliance Program “reasonably designed to prevent violation, by the RIA and its supervised persons, of the Advisers Act and the rules that the Commission has adopted under the Advisers Act.”
